We often buy a stick of pepperoni from BJs to use in our gumbo. I slice
it at least twice as thick as normal pizza pepperoni. It does add a
spice to the gumbo. I'm not sure if it adds a smoke flavor or not since
I used smoked chicken (or at least I used to do that).

Once in a while the Papa John's near our old house would have a special
of free additions for each touchdown made by the Ravens, double that if
they won the game. So we might get a large pizza for $9.99 with double
pepperoni, green pepper, onions, spicy Italian sausage and maybe black
olives.

Did I also say that he/she made a green sauce which included blended raw
shrimp?

I believe that is pretty much what they said, i.e. that the shrimp did
not have enough time in the lime (maybe only 15 minutes). They also
said that the method might have worked with thinly cut fish.

I was wondering if shrimp can harbor a parasite of some sort? When we
were at Fu's, was there a raw shrimp dish served there?
I have also seen the judges refuse to eat a dish that had a few drops of
the cooks blood on it.
