It's not necessary to use IMAPS. It's enough to have Postfix delivering messages to Maildir so each message is in a separate file. And I have an implementation that uses inotify to wait for a new
message, then looks whether there is a pkt attached and extracts the pkt. The following is obvious.

I developed it for myself and did not publish the implementation.
